Photography

This is a medium I rely on more and more....as a means of recording form and structure to be used later or simply to exhibit what I see and how this impacts upon me.

Nature and landscape are the predominant influences here and they reflect the aesthetic qualities that I witness virtually every day. I am often asked, "What makes a good image or composition?"

It all comes back to seeing and indeed looking at the world. Where most people would see 'leaves on the ground' - I see textures and beauty in abundance. Once captured and then displayed - its then that people get it! The camera viewfinder is the first chance you have to frame something and it's the ability to isolate what you see from everything else that starts the process.

Can this be learned? Of course it can. Is it a natural or innate ability that I possess? Absolutely.
