It goes without saying that when you're in Nepal, mountains 'come into view occasionally'.
They're more obvious than you'd imagine, even in Kathmandu, peeking out from behind a tall building or down an alleyway. Once you're up in the hills proper....and in my case, trekking part of the Annapurna circuit, they're seemingly always in view.

Is it possible to become blasé about them? Maybe so, especially if you live there permanently but to a traveller, their scale and majesty is beyond compare.
Suspect I'll need to go back one day.
